2.General Conditions in the Secondary Section

1st Secondary


• To be promoted to the Science Section of 2nd secondary, a minimum final average of 80/100 is required in each of the following subjects: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
• To be promoted to the Humanities Section, a minimum final average of 80/100 is required in the following subjects: Arabic, English, Sociology and Economics.

2nd Secondary


• To be promoted to the General Sciences Section, a minimum final average 80/100 is required in each of the following subjects: Physics and Mathematics.
• To be promoted to the Life Sciences Section, the final average in each of the following subjects has to be no less than: 80/100 in Biology and 75/100 in Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics.
• To be promoted to the Economics and Sociology Section, the final average in each of the following subjects has to be no less than: 80/100 in Economics and Sociology and 70/100 in each of Mathematics, Arabic and English.
• A students who has a passing general final average but has failed in one or two main subjects, may be conditionally promoted and asked to sit for a qualifying exam.
• A student who repeatedly misbehaves and receives more than three detentions, is  asked to change school.

 

3.Graduation Policy

 

In order to be eligible for graduation, a student must meet the following conditions
- A minimum attendance of 145 days during the last academic year.
- A minimum general final average of 60/100.
- With honors for an average of 85/100

 

4.Extra Curricular Activities
Secondary Section offers a variety of extra-curricular activities that aims to enrich the students’ academic and social lives.

 They include Model United, Nations, exhibitions, competitions, social activities, sports, clubs and field trips.
