On September 2022 112 solar panels were installed on the roof of the Armenian Evangelical Church of Ashrafieh, as a source of electricity, both for the Church and School. This project was funded by the generous contribution of Swiss HEKS Organization, AMAA and AECHS Alumni Association of Los Angeles.
Since the Lebanese Government is not able to provide consistent power, solar panels are crucial in providing a reliable and sustainable source of electricity.
This system offers a clean energy solution, reducing dependency on traditional power sources like generators. On sunny days, the school is able to maintain its essential functions, such as lighting, computers, heaters, and other educational equipment, in an efficient way.
Moreover, solar panels contribute to environmental sustainability by lowering carbon emissions.
We are grateful to all donors for making this system possible.
